On September 21, 2025, Dubai hosted the first-ever DMC Middle East DJ Championships — a landmark event that brought the legendary DMC competition to the Middle East for the very first time. This year’s edition carried special significance as it coincided with the 40th anniversary of the DMC World DJ Championships, symbolically linking the rich history of turntablism with the region’s rapidly growing DJ scene. The event took place at the iconic The Fridge Warehouse in Alserkal Avenue, a vibrant hub of art and creativity in Dubai. It drew hundreds of music fans, DJing enthusiasts, and artists who came together to celebrate the evolution of mixing, scratching, and DJ culture.
On stage, 15 finalists from across the region competed in three categories: Scratch, Classic, and Open. Each showcased unique skills, style, and musical identity, proving that the Middle East is becoming an exciting new center for global DJ excellence. After an intense competition, the champions were crowned: DJ Michelle in the Scratch category, DJ B-LUV in the Classic category, and DJ KIDY in the Open category. The winners also earned the honor of representing the region at the 40th DMC World DJ Championships, set to take place on October 11–12, 2025, in Tokyo — where the world’s finest DJs will gather to celebrate four decades of DMC history.
